Error Analysis of Simple Present Tense Using in Students' Descriptive Writing

چکیده

Simple present tense is one of the most complex in English. Because different pattern between students’ mother tongue and English as target language, students often make errors producing sentences. The objective research to find out what type error which mostly appears when use Present Tense descriptive writing. This a qualitative combined with analysis methodology using Surface Strategy Taxonomy. participants were 50 Bina Sarana Informatika University majoring Management. result showed that common made by misformation happened much 54%. second appear writing omission 24% number was not addition 20%. least found misordering 2%.
